To this end, Greg talked about the kind of training one ideally needs to be able to implement an SBT session successfully. Long story short, it's more than teaching someone to say, \"My Way.\"&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of training, FTF offers a variety of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ftfbc.com\/course-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on-demand virtual trainings<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ftfbc.com\/ftf-events-live-timeline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in-person live workshops<\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ftfbc.com\/contact-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">short and long-term consultation<\/a>&nbsp;engagements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg also mentioned numerous papers, most of which you can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/practicalfunctionalassessment.com\/publications-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">find here<\/a>. If there are others not represented on this page, let me know and I'll add those to the show notes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What we didn't get into is the outreach FTF is making with using this process in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/803270768\/557fd3f1c6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">public school settings<\/a>. We also didn't get a chance to get into the SBT data collection app that his colleagues at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hirasmus.com\/skill-based-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hi-Rasmus<\/a>&nbsp;has created, but you can check out here.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OK, back to the interview... after a lengthy nuts and bolts discussion of the what makes for successful SBT interventions, we broadened the lens to discuss many of the so-called 'hot topics,' in Behavior Analysis these days. This included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The influence of social media groups.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overly rigid rule adherence, in which we spend a fair bit of time talking about token systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greg's perspective on Trauma-informed and Trauma-assumed ABA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other aspects of \"Hyphenated-ABA\" that are being discussed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical perspectives on assent... and if you're like me, and often think about the limitations of assent-based models of treatment, this will be helpful (and by the way, check out this article by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:7038857066538508289\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dr. Paulie Gavoni and Steve Ward<\/a>), and,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The use of extinction.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Greg also opened up a bit about how he almost left the field of ABA. You read that correctly.
