Very interesting podcast with a lot of valuable information! As a student currently studying ABA, it was interesting to hear a little more about this field from someone like Missy who has been in it for such a long time. It’s one thing to read about this field and possible challenges from a textbook but it’s another to actually hear a professional share their thoughts and stories about these different things.

Such an informative podcast! I think everyone in a school district needs to hear this, ABA therapists or not. School Administration could definitely benefit from knowing the roles and ethical guidelines BCBA’s must follow in order for most beneficial practices.

This was a very informative podcast! I enjoyed the conversation-like style of the discussion. It was nice to hear from someone who has been in the field for an extended period of time. As someone newer to the field, I appreciated the explanations for the common technical terms, too. Keep up the good work!

I enjoyed the incite of high senior level BCBAs who have been in the field long before the field was known. The fact that Missy Olive explained how to build better relationships with the schools is very moving. BCBAs do tend to come in with a big head and expect teachers to follow their recommendations because they are the experts in Behavior, but in reality, teacher are indeed the experts in their classroom. It is important to approach professionals with the respect the deserve and to remember everyone wants the same thing; to help our clients.

This was a nice Podcast I felt like the two speaker were passionate over the talk of ABA and I like to hear about how things were different in the pass compared to the presents and that they had different view points and only a hand full of place that offered ABA as a major. I also found it very interesting that she talked about how she went to a normal teaching school for ABA training and that back in the day Special Education teacher were trained in ABA, the reason I say this is for the fact that I have my Associate in Special Education.
